At Quranur, we are committed to providing a sacred, focused, and secure environment for reading and reciting the Holy Quran. We operate under a strict "Privacy by Design" philosophy. This document outlines how your data is handled across our reading, audio player, AI Tajweed helper, and sync features.

1. Data Collection Categories

To provide a focused Islamic reading and learning experience, we collect and process:

• Identity & Account Data: Name and email address retrieved via Google Sign-In or email registration (only if you choose to create an account for cloud backup).
• Personalization & Settings: Font sizes, script styles (Indopak/Uthmani), theme states, translation languages, and selected reciters. This data is stored entirely on your local device.
• Reading Progress & Bookmarks: Your current reading position, custom bookmarks, highlights, and verses saved to lists.
• Audio Tajweed Voice Inputs: To offer the AI Pronunciation Correction features, the app requests microphone permissions. Audio recordings are processed **strictly on your device in real-time** to evaluate pronunciation and are **never uploaded, stored, or shared** with external servers.
• Prayer Times Location Data: Precise GPS coordinates are requested to calculate accurate prayer times and Qibla direction. This coordinate calculation is performed locally on the device; location data is never sent to our servers.
• Cloud Backup Data: Optional cloud synchronization utilizing the secure drive.appdata scope. Quranur can only access its own private, hidden application folder and cannot view or modify any other files in your personal Google Drive.

2. Data Security & Encryption

We implement advanced security protocols to keep your information safe:

• Local-First Storage: Your primary app state is stored in a secure SQLite database on your device, encrypted with AES-256.
• Google Drive Private Sync: Secure, isolated cloud backup using Google Drive's private app data folder, preventing unauthorized file access.
• No Ads or Trackers: Quranur is completely ad-free and contains no advertising trackers or profiling SDKs.

3. Third-Party Partners

We only work with trusted service providers to support fundamental infrastructure:

• Google (Firebase & Drive API): For crash analytics, performance monitoring, and secure cloud synchronization.
• RevenueCat: For secure processing of Premium subscriptions and donation validation (if applicable).

4. Your Data Rights

Quranur grants you complete ownership of your personal data:

• Data Export: Export your bookmarks, notes, and reading plans in structured JSON or CSV format.
• Full Deletion: Permanently delete your account and all associated cloud backups from our databases via the app settings.
